Is Lordrush just Kingshot in armour?

Same publisher, and the help centre's own article titles cover Bear Hunt, Sanctuary Battle, Outpost Battle and Viking Vengeance — names any Kingshot player already knows. The billing is tower defense and the setting is medieval, but English reviewers say the mid-game is an alliance war game like the others.

Short answer: same publisher, same skeleton, different paint. Longer answer below, with only the parts we can point at.

The publisher is the same company

Google Play lists the developer as Century Games Innovation Pte. Ltd., which is the same name behind Whiteout Survival and Kingshot. The official site's footer carries the same company. That is not an accusation, it is the credit line.

The event list is the tell

You do not need to play both games to see the overlap — the help centre's own article titles do it for you. Century Games’ English help centre for Lordrush documents Bear Hunt, Sanctuary Battle, Outpost Battle, Viking Vengeance, Auto Hunting, Alliance Vote and the Enlistment Office. If you have played Kingshot, you have met every one of those under a name that is either identical or one word away.

English reviewers are blunt about it

The recurring complaint on the English store listing is that the tower defense billing does not survive contact with the mid-game — reviewers describe it as another online alliance war game wearing a tower defense label, and separately complain that the ads do not resemble the game. We are repeating that because it is the single most useful thing to know before you install: if the advert is what sold you, temper the expectation.

Those are user reviews on Google Play, not the publisher and not us. We have not played the English client and are not ruling on whether they are right.

What genuinely is different

LordrushWhat it maps to
Medieval setting, siege wavesThe publisher's stated genre is tower defense; Kingshot and Whiteout are not billed that way
DecreesNo clear counterpart in Century Games' other titles — the one system we cannot map
Town CenterThe gating building. In Whiteout Survival it is the Furnace; the gift-code server still calls it STOVE_LV internally
Everything elseRecognisable. Bear Hunt, Outposts, alliance events, R4 permissions, rally mechanics

The upside nobody mentions

If you already play Kingshot, your learning cost here is close to zero. The permission tiers, the rally logic, the alliance event structure and the "hold it for 30 unbroken minutes" pattern all carry across. That is a reason to start Lordrush, not a reason to avoid it — as long as you start it expecting the game the reviews describe rather than the one the advert shows.
