Last War: Survival — squads, Alliance Duel and Capitol rules
The publisher’s own English rules, read carefully and written out in full.
Publisher: First Fun · Genre: 4X survival strategy · Last checked: 2026-07-29
Most of what costs you a season in Last War: Survival is written down somewhere and simply never read: that points are scored the moment you start a build rather than when you collect it, that a squad of three matching units already pays a bonus, that the Capitol needs four hours of occupation in total and not four unbroken hours. This page is the reading. Every rule below is followed by the article it came from.
Start with how to build a squad if you are new — it is the single change that moves the most power for free — then Alliance Duel points, which is where most alliances quietly lose their week.
This English edition is written from First Fun’s English help centre, not translated from our Korean pages. Where the publisher’s English is inconsistent — and in a few places it is — we keep the wording you will actually see in the client and say so on the spot.
🎁 Gift Codes 2026-07-29
No confirmed Gift Codes right now
We only publish codes we have redeemed ourselves and watched land, so this list is empty rather than padded. An expired code costs you a minute; a wrong one costs you your trust in the rest of the page. Use the official redemption page below — it will tell you immediately whether a code is still alive.
How to redeem
Official page: Official Gift Code Redemption page (First Fun) — This is the page the official Last War site links to itself. Anything asking for your password, or for a server number plus a login, is not it.
- Open the redemption page linked above from the official site.
- Sign in to the account the rewards should go to, and check the character shown is the right one.
- Paste the code rather than retyping it — codes are case sensitive.
- Rewards are not shown on the page. They arrive in your in-game mail.
Codes are normally one use per account, and an account that has already claimed a code will simply be told it is used rather than expired.

📖 Guides
Guides marked 🏛 Publisher’s own English text are read straight out of First Fun’s English help centre, and every one of them ends with links to the exact articles used. The guide marked 📊 Published rate table + our maths takes its per-pull percentages from First Fun’s published probability disclosure and states clearly which numbers are the publisher’s and which are our own calculations. Guides marked 📚 Cross-checked, if any appear later, are assembled from more than one source because the publisher has not written the answer down in one place.
Start here The two things that decide your first month
Alliance Duel Where the week is quietly won or lost
Alliance Running one, and getting paid for it
Warzone and battlefields Cross-server content, and the rules people find out too late
Base and power Free power that is sitting in a menu
World map What is worth rallying
Recruitment The published numbers, and what they mean per pull
❓ Questions
Why is my Alliance Duel score different from my alliance-mate’s?
Because the score bar can be set to show either your personal points or the alliance total, and because points are awarded the moment an action starts rather than when you collect it. A build you queued yesterday and collect today scored yesterday. The full breakdown of what scores on which day is in Alliance Duel points.
What is the counter triangle in Last War: Survival?
Tank beats Missile, Missile beats Aircraft, Aircraft beats Tank. On top of that, having several units of the same type in one squad pays a lineup bonus that rises to +20% at five matching units — which is why a single-type squad usually beats a "best five heroes" squad. See how to build a squad.
How long do you have to hold the Capitol?
Four hours in total, not four unbroken hours. Occupation time accumulates, so being pushed off and retaking it does not reset your clock. The city and Capitol rules are in how to capture cities and the Capitol.
What are the hero recruitment rates?
The published table gives UR 3.0000%, SSR 13.0000%, SR 39.0000% and R 45.0000% per pull on hero recruitment, with an account-lifetime guarantee of a UR by the 50th pull. Working that through, the average player takes about 26 pulls to see a UR and roughly 22% of players go all the way to the guarantee. The full tables are in recruitment odds, including where the numbers come from.
Can I hide my power to get an easier Desert Storm match?
No. Matchmaking uses the real power of every registered player, so parking troops or sitting out does not produce a softer bracket — it just produces a weaker you. Desert Storm covers registration, the A/B task force split and why leaving the alliance after sign-up removes you.
What do the Capitol positions actually give?
Each official position carries a specific buff — construction speed, research speed, training speed, resource production and so on — and they are handed out by the President of the alliance holding the Capitol. Note that a "+100%" production buff adds another 100% of your base rate; it is not the same as doubling your current total. The full table is in official positions and their buffs.
Does linking my account cost anything, and can I unlink later?
Linking is free and takes a minute, and it is the only reliable way back into an account after a lost phone. Changing or unlinking afterwards is subject to a 90-day cooldown, so link the address you will still have next year. Account binding and recovery also lists exactly what support will ask you for.
Where do I redeem a Last War gift code?
On First Fun’s own redemption page, linked in the gift codes section above. Rewards do not appear on the page — they are sent to your in-game mail. Codes are case sensitive and normally one use per account.
🕳 What is not on this page yet
What this English edition does not cover yet, listed so you can weigh the rest of the page.
- No hero tier list. We will not publish English hero names we have not seen First Fun write in English. The rarity table our Korean page uses comes from a Korean-language disclosure, and inventing English names for the heroes on it would be guessing at exactly the point where a reader needs to recognise a name in their own client. The tier list arrives when the English names are confirmed.
- No Arms Race schedule. The day-by-day theme names are confirmed on our Korean page from the Korean client. We have not matched them to the English client’s theme names, so an English schedule would be a translation rather than the words on your screen — which is precisely what makes a schedule useless when you are staring at the event tab.
- No calculators in this edition. The Korean edition’s Arms Race and Alliance Duel score calculators depend on those unconfirmed English event and theme names, so they are not published here yet.
- Recruitment rates come from a Korean-service disclosure. The percentages on the recruitment page are First Fun’s own published figures, but they were published for the Korean service. Rate tables can differ between services and between banner versions. Check the in-game rate button on the banner you are actually pulling before you spend.
- Publisher inconsistencies are preserved, not corrected. Where the English help centre spells a feature two different ways, or uses a name the client does not, we keep the publisher’s wording and flag it in the guide. That is deliberate: the point is that you can find the thing, not that our page reads tidily.
How we check things
Everything with a number on it was read off a real account in the game. When we cannot confirm something, we leave it blank and say so instead of filling the gap with a guess. Every page carries the date we last checked it.
A note on wording
English wording on this page comes from the publisher's own English text. We do not translate the Korean edition into English, because the two editions use different words for the same thing. Where the publisher's English name for an item is not confirmed yet, we say so rather than invent one.
