Kingshot server roadmap — what opens when, and what Kingdom Progression Optimization really changes

Kingshot unlocks content by server age, not by your own Town Center level, so "what should I be saving for" is answered by the server day. Three points really split accounts: the first Hall of Governors cycle, entering Truegold, and the first SvS. And Kingdom Progression Optimization is not a server merge — it does not touch your leaderboard or your matchmaking, but it can move the dates on your event calendar.

Kingshot opens its content on a schedule tied to how long your Kingdom has existed. That is why the useful planning question is never "what level am I?" but "what server day is it?" — the two answers point at completely different shopping lists.

The shape of the first six months

The table below is the community-aggregated view of when things arrive and what is worth stockpiling ahead of each window. Treat it as a planning sketch, not a contract.

WindowWhat opensWhat to bank in advance
Days 0–40Town Center growth, fog clearing (Plains, Fertile Land), generation 1 heroesConstruction and Research Speedups, gen-1 hero shards
Weeks 2–6Hall of Governors — season hero AmadeusRecruitment currency, hero shards, Forgehammers
Days 45–70Alliance resource exchange, Castle Battle, gen-1 Pets, Truegold 1–3Truegold materials, Healing Speedups
Days 75–120SvS, generation 3 heroes and PetsPower discipline — your power is your matchmaking difficulty
Day 150+Truegold 4–5, the Furnace, gen-4 heroes and PetsEverything concentrated on one main hero
Day 220+War Academy end-game tech

Community-aggregated and unverified — the figures in this section are cross-checked player data, not published by Century Games. Stage order and point values can be adjusted per server and per version, so the in-game event notice always wins.

Three of those rows decide far more than the rest. The first Hall of Governors pays out an S+ hero, which makes it the one cycle where dumping your saved currency is correct rather than wasteful. Entering Truegold stalls for weeks if you did not bank the materials first, because there is no fast catch-up path. And SvS matches you against comparable power, so power you inflated early comes straight back at you as difficulty.

One thing that is not on a day counter: the fog

Players routinely assume the map opens up on schedule. It does not — it opens on Monument progress:

You can enter the Plains after unlocking [Banner Raised High] in the Monument, Alliance Iron will become available as well. Fertile Land can be entered after unlocking [Grand Conquest].
Fog FAQ

So if the calendar says you should be in the Plains and you are not, the server is fine — your Monument is behind. Alliance Iron is tied to the same unlock, which means a slow Monument quietly costs your whole alliance a resource type.

There is at least one feature where the publisher gives the server-day rule outright, and it is a good example of the general pattern — a date and a level, both required:

It unlocks on Monday of the 4th week after the server opens. Requires a Lv. 19 Town Center and a Lv. 1 Command Center.
Feature unlock FAQ

Read that as the template. When a system has two gates, the level is the one you control — reach it early and let the clock catch up, rather than arriving at the date with the level missing and losing the window entirely.

Kingdom Progression Optimization — the part everyone misreads

This is the announcement that reliably starts a panic in world chat, so it is worth reading what Century Games actually wrote:

Kingdom Progression Optimization refers to adjustments made to the Growth progression of multiple Kingdoms. Kingdoms at the same progression will participate in subsequent events and gameplay content at a unified pace, further enhancing the overall gaming experience.
Optimization FAQ
We will adjust the Growth Progress of designated Kingdoms (such as Kingdoms C-D and your Kingdom) so they remain aligned with your Kingdom. This means Kingdoms at the same progression will have events and gameplay content unlocked at the same time.
Mechanism FAQ

Every common fear about it has a published answer, and they are all shorter than the rumours:

The worryThe published answer
Are Kingdoms being merged?"No. This Kingdom Progression Optimization only adjusts the Growth pace of Kingdoms and does not involve Kingdom Mergers."Merger FAQ
Will my ranking change? No change to this Kingdom's Leaderboard; the display range of the Neighboring Kingdoms Leaderboard is expanded.Leaderboard FAQ
What about events already running?Already-unlocked events are unaffected, but Calendar events are adjusted to the new schedule.Events FAQ
Will my opponents get stronger?"The optimization itself will not directly make your opponents stronger." Matchmaking still follows your own Growth Progress.Opponents FAQ
What about Limited Packs I triggered?Contents are unaffected and can still be purchased normally afterwards.Packs FAQ
What do I need to prepare?"No special preparation is required. Just keep an eye on the updated event schedule after the optimization."Preparation FAQ

The row that actually costs people something is the third one. Once optimization finishes, your calendar dates can move, and the publisher says as much — it recommends going by the events displayed in-game after the process completes. That applies to the table at the top of this page and to every other external schedule you have bookmarked. Re-check them the week after, or you will prepare for an event that arrived three days earlier than you expected.
