Kingshot Teleporters — all four types and when each one is the right move

Four Teleporters exist: Random, Alliance, Territory and Advanced. Random, Alliance and Territory are used from the Backpack. The Alliance Teleporter moves you next to the R5 officer — which is not necessarily inside alliance territory — while the Territory Teleporter moves you to your HQ. Advanced sends you anywhere you pick, and without the item that costs 4,000 Gems.

Picking the wrong Teleporter is one of the most expensive small mistakes in Kingshot, because the two that sound identical do different things. The Alliance Teleporter follows a person; the Territory Teleporter follows a building. Only one of them reliably lands you where the territory bonuses apply.

The four types, in the publisher's own words

We have 4 types of Teleporters in the game:
- Random Teleporter
- Alliance Teleporter
- Territory Teleporter
- Advanced Teleporter

Random, Territory, and Alliance Teleporters can be used in the Backpack

Random Teleporter
This Teleporter will send you to a random location on the map.

Alliance Teleporter
This Teleporter will move you to the location closest to the R5 officer, regardless of whether they are within the Alliance territory or not. Please bear this in mind if you intend to move to your Alliance territory. Alliance territory will grant rewards, provided that your city is located within it!

Territory Teleporter
This Teleporter will move you close to your HQ. If your Alliance has built a Plains HQ, it will be selected by the Teleporter.

Advanced Teleporter
This Teleporter will move you to the location of your choice. If you do not own this item, the teleportation will cost you 4,000 Gems.
Teleporters FAQ

Which one to reach for

TeleporterWhere it puts youUse it when
RandomAnywhere on the mapYou need out of a bad neighbourhood immediately and do not care where you land
AllianceNearest to the R5 officer — possibly outside territoryYou want to sit with your leadership, and you have checked where R5 actually is
TerritoryClose to your HQ, preferring a Plains HQYou want to be inside territory for the bonuses — this is the reliable one
AdvancedExact tile of your choosingEvent positioning, or joining a specific cluster. Costs 4,000 Gems without the item

The trap is the Alliance Teleporter. It tracks the R5 officer's position, and the FAQ flags explicitly that this holds regardless of whether they are within the Alliance territory or not. If your R5 has wandered off to farm or fight, that is where you are going — outside territory, with none of the territory rewards. When your goal is "get me inside our borders", the Territory Teleporter is the correct item.

Where they come from

TeleporterSources
RandomFree ones under the arrow icon below your profile picture (they restore over time), Alliance Shop, Nomadic Merchant
AllianceAlliance Shop — appears at random after the daily refresh
TerritoryAlliance Shop — appears at random after the daily refresh
AdvancedAlliance Shop, Nomadic Merchant, and as a possible Sanctuary Battle reward

Three of the four route through the Alliance Shop on a random daily refresh, which is the practical argument for checking it every day rather than when you happen to need a move. The Advanced Teleporter is the one worth stockpiling: holding the item is the difference between a free precision move and a 4,000-Gem one. Its Sanctuary Battle drop is not guaranteed either — the FAQ says to check the specific Sanctuary you are attacking for what it actually pays.

Free Random Teleporters regenerate on their own, so there is no reason to let them sit capped. If you are pinned next to someone who keeps hitting you, spending one costs you nothing but the wait for it to come back.
